The event

Esker Film Society is an ongoing showcase for experimental film. Due to a profound lack of access to and knowledge of this type of film in the east of the Netherlands, all screenings are inherently introductory. Each edition has about an hour worth of films, which allows for ample time to discuss and reflect. The first 2 were conducted at Stadkamer Zwolle, but the series has since moved to the Zaal 3 Cinema within De Nieuwe Buitensociëteit, also in Zwolle.
