Observing lights in the month of december.

On A Personal Note

The night train was shooting through the barren landscape, barely visible through the darkness and the fog. Every so often there was a bridge or a backyard or a road with a few lights to remind us of our forward momentum. I sunk into my bed for an oft-interrupted slumber. Feverishly, I dreamt of early December: the podium lights were on us and we were illuminated in violent bursts. I've felt a calmness I haven't felt before and I'm grateful for that.
